    General Order 174 - January 1903.  Commendation for the highly creditable manner in which he and Pc 246 Field detected a case of corn stealing and arrest of two men.

    4.9.1901 Awarded Merit Badge and £5 by SJC for meritorious conduct when savagely assaulted by 2 men at Clavering in November 1899.

    2.10.1901.  Under influence of drink - severely cautioned and reprmanded.  20.1.1906 Drunkenees and neglect of duty - to forfeit monthly leave for 1906.  9.3.1909 Drinking in a public house when on duty - fined 2/6d and 3 days leave dropped.
