    William Parrott joined Essex County Constabulary on .

    Before joining, William worked as a Corn Salesman

    On 30th November 1916, William Parrott left to join the army, rejoining after the war on 30th December 1919.

    On 1st June 1923, Parrott was promoted to sergeant and to inspector on 4th July 1927.

    Parrott was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Kings Jubilee Medal in 1935.
